Join us for a fabulous 40s weekend at Thorney near Peterborough on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 June 2023. The Crowland and Thorney 1940s weekend will bring people together to remember past times, share memories, and meet the re-enactors who keep history alive.
After a successful event last year we are bringing the event back for 2023.
The 40s were a significant time for the country and doubly so for Crowland with the flood in 1947. The incredible Crowland Buffalo LVT will be on display as well as many re-enactors, trade stands, a bar, dancing, music, trade stands and much more.
If you are a business and would like to sponsor the event please get in touch.
Information for traders, re-enactors and anyone taking part is here.
Congratulations Daniel, Dave and all the organisers for your efforts in putting on a superb weekend, from everyone at Spirit of the Homefront

What a brilliant event for a first time. Fantastic entertainment and displays, great selection of traders. It was really good to see the agricultural history along with the military side of the 40’s. A well earned thank you Daniel Abbott and Cathi, Andrew Smalley and Christine and all the organising team not forgetting Michael for providing such a marvellous venue.
